Is it permissable to wear synthetic eyelashes?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh

In principle, it is permissible for one to wear synthetic eyelashes on condition that there is no medical harm to one’s eyes and there is no intention of deception in wearing such eyelashes. Furthermore, a woman should only wear such eyelashes to beautify herself for her husband within the confines of her home.

Moreover, eyelashes made from human and pig hair are impermissible. It is permissible to use eyelashes made from animal hair other than pig hair.
