Question

I wanted to know if it is ok and permissible to do real estate business. I recently became an licensed agent but someone told me it is not permissible because you will be acting like a dalaal and nabi saw cursed the dalaal person. Please let me know.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to work as a real estate agent as long as it does not involve facilitating mortgages for customers.
