Doubts and the Gulen Movement
Question
How should I go about looking for the truth?
I grew up in gulen jamaat. Now I am growing disillusioned and I don't know why, although I mostly keep my suspicions to myself, and feel I am either paranoid or shifting between emotions rather quickly. I suffer from personality disorders that make me love someone very quickly and hate them very quickly. But I feel like gulen jamaat activities can feel fake sometimes. I have doubts, but I have no one to share them with, I am socially isolated. I am very afraid. My mother calls me an enemy of the jamaat when I post these things. I just want to know how to go about searching for the true islam. what is the siratul mustaqeem. what is the criteria for what is islamic and what isn't. i am not interested in political conspiracy theories by the turkish government.

Brother, it is important that we surround ourselves with good and pious company. We should be extremely wary of who we follow. There are many deviant groups who claim to be on the right path, however, after much research into these groups, there are major issues with regards to the core beliefs of a believer.

Brother, you mention regarding following the true Islam. The true Islam is the teachings of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah. They are those who follow the teachings of the Quran, Sunnah and the explanations of The Fuqaha. Therefore, before following any individual or group, it is best one researches and enquires from reputable sources the authenticity of such individuals or groups.
