Are video calls to your family member's permissible?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

There are differences of opinions amongst Ulama on the permissibility and non-permissibility of live video calling. The Darul Iftaa holds the latter view.
