Can an adopted child receive inheritance from his biological father?

Question

Is an adopted child entitled to inheritance from his BIOLOGICAL father?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

An adopted child is entitled to receive inheritance from his Islamically legitimate biological father.[1]

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
