Giving a shelf on rent to a company which uses female pictures
Question
Is it allowed for a retail shop owner to give a shelf on rent to a company which uses female pictures for marketing its products and paste those pics on retail shelves for display?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is not permissible for a retail shop owner to lease a shelf of his shop to a company who will use female pictures to market its products.[i]
