Can we as muslims scold parents when we know they are doing wrong or is this not allowed?

Question

I have tried persuading my mum to eat less becuse it effects her health and the doctors have told her to control her weight.she says she will eat less but when it comes to eating she gets angry at us for stopping her and just eats and eats.i firslty persuade her kindly to stop but I am provoked to shout at her because she doesn't listen to me.

Answer

Children should always be humble and polite when communicating with parents.
They should not shout and scream at them as that is disrespectful.
