Frames of Kalima Tayyiba

Question

I have brought a frame of kalima tayyaba to hang on the wall for our living room. The purpose is solely so that our daughter know and be familiar with more islamic things and for blessing at home. However we sleeps in the bedroom on 2nd floor. So is it ok if the frame is hanging on 1st floor in the living room and we are upstair during the night and some part of the day? Basically asking about respect of the kalimah if we live above that?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to hang frames with kalima tayyibah on the wall of the second floor[1]. That is not regarded to be disrespectful in general understanding.
