Miscellaneous acts done over the grave
Question
What is impermissible about reading Salaami, singing and laying a green cloth over a learnered scholar? As a recenty Hajji I know this not done at even the Prophets Grave, we are only allowed to convety our salaams.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In order for us to respond to your query, explain the procedure of “Salaami” and how it is conducted. Also, elaborate on laying down a green cloth over a grave.
