Is Sa’ee valid without Wudhu?
Question
If one does the last circuit of Sa’ee without wudhu, is the sa’ee valid?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Wudu is not a condition for the validity of Saee. However, it is Mustahab (preferable) to be in the state of wudu while performing Saee.[1]

[1] وليس عليه لترك السعي شيء عطف على قوله فعليه دم والمراد ليس عليه لترك جابر السعي شيء أي لا يجب باعتبار مجرد السعي محدثا شيء لأنه لا تجب الطهارة فيه بل الواجب فيه الطهارة في الطواف الذي هو عقيبه (فتح القدير ،ج3ص57، دار الفكر)
لأن السعي وإن صح مع الحدث بوصف التمام؛ لأنه لا تعلق له بالبيت (المحيط البرهاني في الفقه النعماني، ج2ص464، دار الكتب العلمية)
