Mufti Uncle, Can we cut nails during periods?
Question
Assalam Walikum,
Mufti Uncle, Can we cut nails during periods?
Also, can we read quranic dua (not quran) or dua book in periods!
My mom is sitting in Itikaf, i wanted to know is she can take shower in it, go to masjid (full covered) and if she can sleep with her husband(my dad)! Just wanted to know little guidelines

Brother/Sister in Islam
1) It is Makhrooh to clip ones nails during periods.
2) It is permissible to make Duas during periods.
3) A females Itikaaf is to choose one place in the house and remain there as much as possible and engage in the Ibaadaat (Worship) of Allah. It is advisable for your mother to remain in the area of Itikaaf of the house than going to the Masjid. It is not prohibited for a women to sleep with her husband in the nights of Ramadhan when she makes Itikaaf in the house.
