Answer

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullah

Brother/Sister in Islam

1)     There is no basis in Shariah for not cutting clothes or sweeping on certain days.

2)     It is compulsory for you to do Hijab in front of your brother in law. Your husband should be advised that you cannot listen to him and disobey Allah and his Rasul.

3)     You should discuss your wish of adoption with your husband. Make Dua to Allah that if adoption is good for you, then Allah must make the husband agree.

4)     If guests do not come to your house simply invite them.
