Limiting number of children to two.

Question

Mufti ji! Many Muslims i have seen are opting for lesser childrens even though they are financially good. Personally I would like to have 2 childrens. You have specified Number of reasons but I am still in doubt. Please tell me whether I can have only 2- childrens and in what circumtances.

Answer

It is not permissible to limit having only two children for no valid Shari reason.
