Can a female memorize the Quran whilst on Haidh?

Question

All 4 mazhabs,women in her menses are not allowed(haram) to touch and recite Quran.How about a woman hafidzah or a young girl in her period memorising Quran to deal with this situation..We are Syafie.

Answer

Just like every other female, it is not permissible for a female Haafizah or young girl memorizing the Quran to recite or touch the Quran while in menses.
A young memorizing the Quran can adopt one of two ways to memorize the Quran in menses:

a.) She can memorize the Quran by listening to it from someone or a cassette.
b.) She can memorize the Quran by reciting it in her mind (without moving the tongue). (Fataawaa Rahimiyyah, Vol. 4, Page 278)
