Question

Assalamu Aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu dear Mufti. Please answer my question: is it permissible to make nikah but live for some time (6 months, 1 year) separately but have intercourse? Jazakallahhair

Answer

If the Nikah was performed correctly, it will be valid.

The husband and wife may mutually agree on living jointly or separately for a specific time period.
