Is it ok for a Muslim to wear silk ties?

It is reprehensible for Muslims to wear any clothing that is associated with an un-Islamic culture. and Allah Ta'ala Knows Best Mufti Ebrahim Desai

#17342My question relates to wearing Silk. As far as I understand the silk that comes from silk worm is not allowed. However if the garment is made of any synthetic silk or not 100% pure silk then will it be ok to wear the garment?
