I would like to know if the Hanafi Fiqh book "Hedaya" is a good resourcw?

Answer

The Hanafi Fiqh book, Hidaaya, is widely accepted by Hanafi scholars and
jurists around the world. The author's name is Ali Abul Hasan, Burhanuddeen
was his title.

His birth was on 8 Rajab 511 AH. He commenced writing the Hidaaya in 573 AH.
It took him 13 years in which he continuously kept fast. He attained his
knowledge from many teachers who were all experts in all subjects. He was an
Imaam, Muhaddithn, Faqeeh and a Mufassir. (Dhafarul Muhassileen pg.192)
