Please advise if it is permissible for men to wear (1) gold items (2) gold coloured items eg. Gold topi or waistcoat(3)imitation gold. (4) silk.
Question
Assalamualaikum. Jazakallah
Answer
It is not permissible for men to wear silk. Similarly, men are prohibited
from using pure gold.
Things that are merely colour coated in gold and imitation are permissible.
However, we should bear in mind that the object must not be beautification.
It is not advisable for men to wear gold items (even though colour coated or
imitation) if the object is merely for beauty.
