She is in her last year of school. So far I feel that I will wait for this girl
Question
Salaams-I have known a girl now for almost 2 years, we have never met face to face but, and we not dating,we dont really communicate(mayybe twice a month at most)but shukr since I've been reading for her, everything that I found out about her in general from some ppl were all Alhamdu-Lillah -i read istikhara salaah for her on 3 different occasions, the last time was this past Ramadhaan, the Imam of the Masjid and I read together, after the 7 nights I read for, I asked the Imam the outcome of his Istikhara, he advised me that I wait for the girl to finish her studies before I say or do anything that Insha-Allah means proposing or marriage? She is in her last year of school -So far I still feel that I will wait for this girl -any opinions or duas for me that could help me get through this wait without making gunnah??
Answer
Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) advised never to delay Nikah once a match is found. The wisdom behind this is quite clear, i.e. to close the doors of temptation and sin. If you feel that she is a suitable partner, you should make all haste towards Nikah, even though you may not, immediately, be able to live together.
This is the wisest and safest course to adopt. May Allah Ta?ala ease your matter and fulfil your wishes.
