Is prayer valid behind certain khateeb

Question

A government has allotted a plot measuring near about 200 square yards for construction of a mosque. Mosque has been constructed. One khateeb comes and take over the charge illegally in this mosque. In the government record construction has been allowed for ground floor only. Khateeb has constructed the mosque for two floors and a boundary wall illegally.

Answer

The Salaat in that Masjid behind the Khatib is permissible.
