Selling a product for more than its purchase price
Question
In few years i planned to start the Ajwa dates business . Inshallah i will get the ajwa dates from importer from Saudi Arabia and the dates cost is may under 600 rupees only. But I will planned to sell the Ajwa dates for rupees 2000 rupees to my buyers. Is it allowed to sell the Ajwa dates more than the purchase price? Answer me soon Mowlana Assalamualaikum varahmathullahi va barakathuhu

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
It is permissible for you to sell the Ajwa dates for more than the purchase price.[i]
And Allah Ta’ala Knows Best

فأما الجائز فأولها بيع المساومة وهو المطالبة بالسلعة بالثمن والمعلوم، ولا خلاف فيها بين علماء المسلمين.

وأما الذي يرجع إلى نفس العقد فهو أن يكون القبول موافقا للإيجاب، بأن يقبل المشتري ما أوجبه البائع وبما أوجبه.

شریعت مقدسہ نے خرید وفروخت کو بائع اور مشتری کی باہمی رضامندی پر موقوف رکھا ہے، بائع اور مشتری جس نرخ پر بھی متفق ہوں وہی نرخ شرعا جائز ہے۔ فقہاء نے بیر مرابحہ کی حقیقت بیان کرتے ہوئے ربط کی تعین نہیں فرمائی ہے البتہ بازار کے عام نرخوں سے زائد پر فروخت کرنا جائز تو ہے مگر خلاف مروت ہے۔
