Dua to get good results for my exams
Question
Dua for good results
Salaam and I am making this question because I have finished my GCSE exams but I am not sure I have done well so I would like to know if there are any dua to get good results after my exams.
Answer
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Respected Brother in Islam,
May Allah make you successful in this world and the hereafter.
We live in this world of means (Darul Asbab). If we require anything, we adopt means to acquire it. Thereafter, we place our trust in Allah Ta’ala and make Dua to Allah to put effect in the means we have adopted.
If a person studies hard before exams and make Dua to Allah after working hard, Allah will put barakah in his efforts and make him successful.
If you had worked hard before your exams, now place your trust in Allah and make the following Dua.
Ibn Abbas Radiallahu Anhu reported to have said:
Transliteration: The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam used to say at the time of feeling uneasy, ‘La ilaha illalahul ‘Azimul Halim, la ilaha illallahu Rabbul ‘arshil ‘azim, la ilaha illallahu Rabbus samawati wa Rabbul ‘arshil karim’
Translation: There is no one worthy of worship but Allah, the Great, the Tolerant, there is no one worthy of worship but Allah, the Lord of the Magnificent Throne There is no one worthy of worship but Allah, the Lord of the Heaven and the earth, the Lord of the Mighty Throne. (Sahih al-Bukhari 7431)
The following Dua is also effective in such situations
رَبِّ إنِّي مَغْلُوْبٌ فانْتَصِرْ[i]
Transliteration: ‘Rabbi, ‘Inni ‘Magloobun, Fantasir’
Translation: “My lord, indeed I am overpowered, so help.
And Allah Ta’ala Knows Best
