Facing feet towards the Qibla
Question
Is it permissible for a person to face his legs towards the kabah when sleeping? Also should one position their bed away from the direction of the Kabah.
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The Qibla (direction of the Ka’ba) is a salient symbol of Deen. Every salient symbol of Deen should be respected. Allah Taala says:
وَمَنْ يُعَظِّمْ شَعَائِرَ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ تَقْوَى الْقُلُوبِ (سورة الحج:32)
Translation: The one who honors the symbols of Allah, then such things emanate from the piety of the hearts.
It is Makrooh to face the feet towards the Qibla when sleeping. One should position his bed away from facing the Qibla.[1]

(قوله: وكذا مد رجله) هي كراهة تنزيهية ط، لكن قال الرحمتي: سيأتي في كتاب الشهادات أنه بمد الرجل إليها ترد شهادته، وهذا يقتضي التحريم فليحرر.
