Question

1-A person prayed his farz & sunnah salaah at the workplace but he wasn't facing the direction of the Qibla does he have to do qadha of  the Farz & sunnah prayer or only the farz?

2-Whats the direction of the Qibla in the UK?

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

1. If Taharree (discretion) of the Qibla was made and the prayer was performed, thereafter one was informed of praying in the wrong direction the prayer would be valid and there would be no need to repeat the prayer. However if one did not make Taharree and performed the prayer, Qadha would have to be made for the Fardh prayer and not for the Sunnah prayer.

)

2. The Qibla direction will vary from the area you residing in.
Eg: The Qibla would be 117.93 degree from north clockwise, depending on the place you reside, or for an approximate direction East of South east.
