Croissants containing Alcohol

Question

Salam,
My husband & I have been eating these croissants from Iceland but today but eyes fell upon the ingredients & it says "natural flavouring (contains alcohol)". We were wondering if this was halal or not? Please see pictures below & we would really appreciate if you can kindly answer.
Jazakh'Allah

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu 'alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Food products which contain minimal amounts of alcohol will be permissible to consume on condition the alcohol is not from grapes or dates. You may contact the company that makes the croissants and enquire how the alcohol was sourced.
