Are medical aid and hospital plans permissible?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Conventional forms of medical aid and hospital plans have elements of interest, insurance and Garar (uncertainty) in them, all of which are prohibited.
