Is this statement Kufr or Shirk?
Question
As Salamu Alaykum! I have a question which would need I would love a detailed reply; Anonymous has a cat which would use the litter box which would then get some unnoticeable impurity’s on the cats paws which then the cat sat on anonymous’s lap in which he was wearing a jubbah, anonymous took off the jubbah and starting praying salatul asr - In which he had great troubles doing so; he couldn’t find the right garment to cover his awrah and in displease he said “are we sure Ya Allah” 3x’s concerning the purity of his prayer clothes (jubbah) and now he’s worried weather he has apostated or weather he’s committed shirk, reason for apostasy he says because he said “are we SURE” which implies questioning of the ability of Allah; in which he has said he didn’t mean to say it in a way to question the ability of Allah but rather to question himself and the reason he beliefs he has committed shirk is because he said “are WE sure” which in speech may seem to imply co decision with Allah but again he says he didn’t mean it in that way rather the whole phrase was said out of anger, please tell me if he has committed either of those grievous sins and if so, should he say his Shahadah and do ghusl or would it be okay to say Shahadah and not do ghusl and continue praying his Maghrib and Isha, JazakAllah Khary

In the enquired scenario, the utterance will not constitute Kufr. As you have stated the utterances was based on having doubt pertaining to the impurity on the clothing. The thought of the statement constituting Kufr are Waswasa (whispers) from Shaitaan. One should simply ignore such wandering thoughts.
