What is the authenticity of these narrations
Question
Assalāmu `alaikum Warahmatullāhi Wabarakatuh.
I listened to a short audio clip of Maulana Tariq Jameel (hafizahullah) regarding few things. He mentioned as below:
- There is an ocean in a corner beneath the Qursi of Allah and the size of one wave of that ocean is bigger/larger than all the 7 heavens & 7 earths. Maulana sahib said that it’s from a Hadith.
- He also shared a report made by NASA regarding the number of objects found in the light of this universe/galaxies etc.
He mentioned few other things while praising Allah.
Some people, including few Ulama, objects regarding many things of Maulana Tariq Jameel’s claims/statements in his speeches.
I’m here sharing the link of that audio clip (a YouTube clip having audio speech) and I’d be happy if you could verify and/or testify whethere there is/are any wrong(s) in Maulana Tariq Jameel’s speech and hadith references etc.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
We have listened to the audio clip you have provided. We are unable to find the two narrations mentioned in the speech in the books of Ahaadith. You may refer your query to Maulana Tariq Jameel Saheb and request him for reference for the quotations. Until then exercise precaution and do not circulate that clip. We are advised to exercise caution in narrating Ahaadith:[1]
كَفَى بِالْمَرْءِ كذباً أَنْ يُحَدِّثَ بِكُلِّ مَا سَمِعَ
Translation: “It is enough of a lie for a man to relate everything he hears.”
As for the statistics provided from NASA, one should not delve into such topics in which the Shariah has remained silent. Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Abbas (Radhiallahuanhuma) mentioned:[2]
أَبْهِمُوا مَا أَبْهَمَ اللَّهُ
And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
