Is this name too heavy?

Muhammad is the name of our beloved Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Muhammad means the praised one.

Ayad means to return/replenish.

The name Muhammad Ayad is suitable.

We do not know what you mean by too heavy. If you meant having two names, then in that instance, you may choose to call your son with one name, Muhammad or Ayad.
