Benefits of naming a child Ahmad or Muhammad and Can children play with animal shaped toys?

Question

Prophet has categorically mentioned benifits of naming child by name Muhammad and Ahmad.Please let me know the Hadith reference where it is mentioed about adntage of  prefixing name by Muhammad (e.g Muhammad Saleem) and suffixing name by ahmed (e.g Saleem Ahmed)

Can soft toys ( of animal shape) be used in house for playing by child?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Hereunder is the hadith in reference:

{ مَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ مَوْلُودٌ فَسَمَّاهُ مُحَمَّدًا كَانَ هُوَ وَمَوْلُودُهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ }

Translation: Whoever has a son then names him Muhammad, him and his son will be together in Jannah

There are differences of opinions on the authenticity of this Hadith. However according to Allama Suyooti Rahmatullahi Alaihi, the hadith is authentic.

We have not come across any hadith on prefixing ones name with Muhammad or suffixing it with Ahmad. However, it is permissible to do so. ][ii][

The second part of your question is ambiguous. Kindly clarify what exactly you mean by soft toys and does animal shape include facial features or not?

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
