Masail regarding giving zakaat to orphanage?

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
May Allah swt reward you all in ahsan way for the propogation of deen with this site.I myself learnt alot from past 12 yrs this site and Alhamdulillah now an alimah and teaching .
I would like to know details and masails regarding giving zakaat to orphanage keeping in mind the masla of giving zakaah to baligh muslim . And what will be the necessary details one must make sure regardswith giving in an orphange by giving food etc with zakaat money.And what will be ruling for those who have given past years zakaat in orphange if its not accceptable?
please I would like details regarding this.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Sister in Islam,
Ameen to your duas. May Allah accept your khidmaat for deen.
The fundamental requirement for Zakat to be valid is tamleek[i](grant ownership) to a legitimate recipient of Zakat who is a muslim[ii]and does not possess the nisab of Zakat or its equivalent value.[iii] The nisab of Zakat isthe value of 87.48 grams of gold or 612.36 grams of silver.
In order for us to advise you on the validity of the Zakat paid to a specific orphanage you may explain to us the procedure of Zakat collection and distribution of that orphanage.

أما بَيَان من يجوز وضع الزَّكَاة فِيهِ فَهُوَ الَّذِي استجمع شَرَائِط مِنْهَا الْفقر فَإِنَّهُ لَا يجوز صرف الزَّكَاة إِلَى الْأَغْنِيَاء لقَوْله تَعَالَى {إِنَّمَا الصَّدقَات للْفُقَرَاء} أَمر بِالصرْفِ إِلَى الْأَصْنَاف الثَّمَانِية
