How is the wealth distributed (who receives what share) in the case of a father who leaves behind two adult daughters and two adult sons?

According to the Shariah Laws of Inheritance and Succession, distribution of an estate will only commence after the funeral expenses, debts (including legal costs) and bequests (if any) made to non-heirs (which will not exceed one-third (1/3) of the estate after debts and funeral expenses have been settled). Thereafter, all assets form part of the net estate and will have to be distributed according to the Islamic Law of Succession and Inheritance.

We have been advised that two daughters and two sons survive the deceased. The deceased does not have a wife and parents.

Accordingly, the assets will be divided into six shares as follows:[1]

Son	2	33.333%
Son	2	33.333%
Total	6	99.998%

Apart from the four children, no one else will inherit.
