Did I commit Kufr?
Question
Asalaamua'alikum, I am resubmitting this because I think I sent this last time on a Saturday I have urgent questions regarding kufr. 1) When I was watching TV there was a time when I laughed at something I shouldnt have when a show was making fun of Isa alayhis salam (the christian version of him). Also one time a friend of mine kind of made a joke using ayaat of Quran to make fun of ayaat or anything but to make fun of my friend he basically inserted my friends name into the ayat. This was before I was married. I have made taubah after marriage, should I re-do my nikah and Hajj? 2) Today i decided to stop watching TV because of how much blasphemy there is in it. I am not exactly sure if I ever laughed when i shouldve but I may have , God is mentioned many times in TV and Isa Alayhis Salaam often the christian version .I re-did my shahaadah as a precaution, should I re-do my nikah as well and Hajj? Brother in Islam,
Your concern regarding the utterances is a sign of your Imaan. May Almighty Allah strengthen your Imaan and grant you sweetness in it. Aameen.
In the enquired situation, you have stated the utterances were made before marriage. Hence, your Nikah and Hajj are intact and valid. You should make sincere Tawbah and Istighfaar for uttering such statements.
Alhamdulillah you have quit watching TV, may Almighty Allah grant you steadfastness. Aameen.
