Meaning of Kinza Maliha

Question

We have named our girl child Kinza Maliha.  What does it mean? Is it a correct name or do we have to change the name?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The Messenger of Allah (Sallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) mentions in a Hadeeth:

إِنَّكُمْ تُدْعَوْنَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِأَسْمَائِكُمْ وَأَسْمَاءِ آبَائِكُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا أَسْمَاءَكُمْ (ابو داود)

Translation: On the Day of Resurrection, you will be called by your names and by your father's names, so give yourselves good names. (Sunan-Abu Dawood, Kitaabul Adab No.4948)

The name Kinza means hidden treasure,[1] Maliha means beautiful.[2]

Kinza Maliha is a suitable name.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
