Injection with cartilage from chickens.
Question
I am a 55 yr lady. I have osteoarthritis. The injection has cartilage from chickens. It is supposed to preserve the knee joint. Thus delay the need for a knee replacement operation. There is no alternative. Can I use it?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In the circumstances explained by you, one will be excused for taking such an injection.
