Are the leftovers of a ghayr mehram permissible?

Question

Respected Mufti, Is it permissible for one to partake of the leftovers of a ghayr mehram, be it food or water? Also, is my husband's step-father my mehram?

Answer

1. In a general situation, there is no prohibition for a Ghayr Mahram (not prohibited in marriage) males and females to partake of one another's left over food or water. The ruling for specific situations may differ.
2. Your husband's step-father is not your Mahram.
