Are Antelopes Halāl? Can we sell blood?
Question
1. Is it permissible for Hanafis to eat Sable and Roan antelope?
if and when they are slaughtered whilst there is still life in them.
2. Is the darul iftaa still approving Al Mabroor?
3. What is the Sharí ruling with Regards to blood of animals slaughtered, can it be sold?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Assalāmu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuh
- Antelopes are permissible to eat when slaughtered correctly. [1]
- Yes.
- The sale of blood is impermissible and invalid. [2]

١. قلت: أفرأيت ظبيا انفلت صاحبه فذهب فلم يقدر عليه فرماه رجل بسهم فقتله أيؤكل؟ قال: نعم (الأصل، دار ابن حزم، ج٥ ص٣٨٩)
قال: "ولا بأس بأكل الأرنب" لأن النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام أكل منه حين أهدي إليه مشويا وأمر أصحابه رضي الله عنهم بالأكل منه، ولأنه ليس من السباع ولا من أكلة الجيف فأشبه الظبي (الهداية، إدارة القرآن، ج٧ ص١٤١)
