Is it permissible to have intercourse during the periods time
Question
Is it permissible for husband and wife to have intercourse during the periods time, that is during the ladies regular periods, if not after how many days they can meet.
Answer
Allah Ta'ala says in the noble Qur'aan, 'And they (the companions) ask you
about the (ruling of being intimate with one's wife) during Haydh. Say, it
(the period of Haydh) is impure. So abstain from women (wives) during the
period of Haydh.' (Baqarah)
The above verse is clear that it is prohibited to consummate with one's wife
during her Haydh (monthly cycle) until it terminates. The maximum period of
Haydh is ten days every month.
