When death comes, do we see the angel of death 40 days before we die?
Question
Do we feel fear in seeing the angel of death when do we see the angel of death, is it 40 days before our death?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
A person does not see the angel of death 40 days before his death. He sees the angel of death only upon the soul being extracted from the body.
