Where to dispose of one’s interest
Question
Please let me know if we can give our Interest Amount for Treatments of Muslim Patient (Hospital Bill). Please let me know if we have Fatwa on this.
and were can i spent Interst Amount i get it from Banks ETC..
It is very urgent for me.
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Interest money should be disposed off by giving them to the poor and needy people, preferably Muslims. If a Muslim patient has to pay a hospital bill and he is poor and needy, interest money may be given to him to pay his bills.[1]
