Is it permissible for a woman to wear 10karat gold rings?
Question
I would like to know if 10karat gold rings are permissible because 10kt gold is an alloy of gold. (It is gold mixed with another metal)?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullahi wa-barakatuh.
In principle, a woman may wear rings made of silver or gold only, irrespective of the amount of gold and silver in the ring.[1]
Therefore, it would be permissible for a woman to wear a 10 karat gold ring.
