Fatwa #29127 August 2000Pakistan

Is it permissable for a husband to prevent his in-laws or any of her relatives from entering his home if he believes that they will interfere in his marriage.

Answer

The husband has a right to stop the wife's relatives from entering his home.
However, the husband should consider the negative consequences before
preventing them. He should apply wisdom and diplomacy with his wife's
relatives.
