Is it permissible to read nafl salah on behalf of one's deceased father? what are some other acts one can do on behalf of his deceased parent?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to transfer the reward of nafl ŝalāh to one’s deceased father.[1]

The following are a few examples of actions the reward of which may be transferred to his/her father:[2]

1. Ŝalāh
2. Fasting
3. Charity
4. Recitation of Qurān
5. Dhikr
6. Ĥajj
7. Udĥiyyah (sacrificing)
