Hugging another man
Question
Is it permitted for a man to hug another man?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is permissible for men to hug one another to express ones closeness to each other. In this era of fitna, lust and shamelessness, if there is a fear that the hugging is due to or lead to immorality, then it will be prohibited[1].
