Conditional divorce
Question
I want to ask that If husband says to wife that if you go out alone then i will divorce you and if wife goes out alone does divorce take place ?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The husband’s statement “I will divorce you” constitutes a promise to divorce in the future. It does not constitute an immediate divorce. [1]
