Du’ā for excessive ihtilām

Question

Can u pls tell me some dua or some amal, which I should do to avoid frequent ehtilam ?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Mawlānā Ashraf ‘Alī Thānwī advises in his book, “Remedies from the Holy Quran “ in the chapter of “Nocturnal Emission (ihtilām)” on page 101 to recite verse 1 to 10 of Surah-at-Tāriq (including the bismillāhir-rahmān-nir-Rahīm)before retiring to bed as it is an effective source of protection against wet dreams. Likewise, reciting the whole of Sūrah-an-Nūr before going to bed is also very effective.

Besides this, you may also consider eating yoghurt before going to bed. A friend of mine tried that out and it worked wonders for him! You may also consider experimenting with the following advises:

http://www.articlesfactory.com/articles/health/12-effective-ways-to-cure-nightfall-wet-dreams-naturally.html

We are not doctors and cannot state the veracity of those advises, but that shouldn’t prevent you from testing it out.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
