Is it permissible to have a Quran app installed on your smart phone along with Islamic videos/audios?
Question
I have smartphone wherein I have installed Quran Application. I also have Islamic videos (Naat and Bayanat). I heard that we cannot keep any audio/video if you have Quran installed in it. If you want to have videos in the mobile then one should uninstall the quran application.Please suggest.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
You are not required to uninstall the Quran app if you have Islamic videos or audios installed on your smart phone. However, if you have any other videos or audios installed which contain anything against the laws of Shariah, then it will be against the sanctity of the Quran to have such videos/audios installed on your smart phone.
