Chewing gum during salaat

Question

I recently started praying sunnah prayer, and during the salaat, I remembered that I was chewing gum. What would be the correct thing to do in such a situation?

Answer

To eat or chew during Salaat is not permissible. The Sunnah Salaat was invalid.
