Are machine slaughtered chickens permissible?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, it is compulsory to make the Zikr of Allah by saying “Bismillahi Allahu Akbar” or any other Zikr before slaughtering each and every chicken. If the slaughterer did not recite “Bismillah” before slaughtering any chicken, that chicken will be Haraam.
