Can we use synthetic hair?
Question
Salam alaikun Please I wanted to ask if it's halal to use synthetic hair And cover the hair completely not allowing anybody to see it with the intention of beautification and growing out the Hair(I have African hair) and not deceiving
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is permissible for one to use synthetic hair on condition that it is not done with the intention of deception.[1]
Furthermore, a woman should conceal her hair from Ghair Mahram men. Ghair Mahram is an Arabic term that refers to men with whom marriage is not prohibited. It is compulsory to conceal oneself from such men.
